There’s an abundance of things to do and see, both on the doorstep or a stone’s throw away.
Rural activities
Boughton-Under-Blean, Selling and Faversham offer a range of walking and cycling routes. Faversham is a market town and hosts markets on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. Visiting Mount Ephraim Gardens, Perry Woods and Oare Nature Reserve are also recommended.
For those interested in hop-picking and agriculture, staying at The Hopper Huts during the hop harvest season in September is a must!
Food & drink
The Sondes Tea House is The Hopper Huts local store and provides plenty of local produce, alongside an array of warming teas and coffees. For a larger shop and a bite to eat Macknade Fine Foods can be reached by car in five minutes. Head into Faversham, Whitstable or Canterbury for a good selection of restaurants, cafes and pubs.
The Shepherd Neame Brewery Tour in Faversham gives a fascinating insight into what happens to the hops once they leave the farms.
Sporting activities
Boughton golf course is just on the doorstep and Faversham indoor and outdoor pools are just a short drive away.
Cultural experiences
Visit Canterbury Cathedral and the Marlowe Theatre or come during festival season for Faversham Hop Festival and Whitstable Oyster Festival.
